Matt Yglesias wrote for Vox.com about public opinion on policymaking in the US using the CAP public mood dataset. The data were used to show that public support for liberal public policies is at a 60-year high. In the article, he speaks to Dr. Jim Stimson about the history of the public mood measure, and how it operates.
